The CL180P is a competition grade ultra high performance 0db-20db adjustable gain preamplifier featuring the acclaimed Crystal-Line current balancing enhancement and conditioning circuitry.

It incorporates many advanced and patented electronic circuit innovations* to achieve maximum levels of clean, accurate, transparent, detailed and focused signal conditioning and preamplification.

The unique Crystal-Line current balancing circuitry in combination with extraordinarily low DC coupled output impedance eliminates all sources of distortion and interference related to the cables it drives. It also eliminates ground loop and magnetic field interference noises and distortions related to its input cables. Crystal-Line is even effective through other equipment in many cases.

The CL180P is able to deliver and accommodate at least 9 volts rms with its extremely stable and accurate DC coupled circuitry. As there are no capacitors or transformers blocking the signal path, the CL180P is able to deliver its full gain capability with a frequency response of 0Hz (DC) to 50,000 Hz with an extremely tight tolerance of +/-0.025db. It is also able to deliver accurate gain even when driven into hard clipping because it does not use DC blocking capacitors in the signal path.

The Crystal-Line output circuit also conditions the cables it drives with an output impedance of 0.25 Ohms. This literally shorts out any interference noise or distortion due to electric fields or dielectric properties of the cable capacitance. It also shorts out any effects related to the input characteristics of the equipment it drives. As the Crystal-Line driver circuit shorts out the capacitance of the cable, it also minimizes the inductance of the cable with current balancing. Together, these benefits remove every effect of the cable on fidelity.

Also useful in increasing SPL, reducing hiss and improving system fidelity through the judicious use of its utterly transparent gain, Crystal-Line preamplifiers are unique in their ability to improve system performance.

The CL180P is complete as a single device and does not require any special cables to be effective.
